Proper transducer alignment

Why can’t we ever get a definitive answer on the direction of the transducer? Pole mount,starboard side of pole, starboard side of boat.Why can’t we ever get a definitive answer on the direction of the transducer? Pole mount,starboard side of pole, starboard side of boat.

All up to how, where you fish and what fish you’re tracking. I dock my side console flats boat on port side so my pole is on starboard side. Fish tarpon and redfish we are tracking and hunting moving fish so putting the LVS on the trolling motor doesn’t work for me. I also run perspective view 100% of the time because I’m looking for moving fish while I’m moving. Most of the guys on these sites are looking for stationary fish on structure. Very different situation.
