Deeper Pro not connecting to iPhone 16

I can’t get my Deeper Pro to work with my iPhone 16. It connects when charging but not when in the water. However, when I try an older phone, it connects straight away. Does anyone know why? WiFi Assist is turned off, and mobile data is also off.

Does it recognise the WiFi network when you put it in the water? Using the blue logo fish deeper app right?
